Over the years, the Self Help Group movement in India has evolved from its humble beginnings as small savings and credit groups. Originally designed to empower rural women, it has grown into one of the largest institutional platforms for the economically disadvantaged globally. Today, there are an astounding 6 million Self Help Groups

Despite their poverty history and knowledge of what it means to be poor, these women are living up to their motto of self-help and solidarity now more than ever before.

Our aim

The aim of our program is to create self sustainable employment opportunities in rural parts of India for women. Through this program we help women from the same village to come together and form small groups. These groups can take up any type of work or product of their choice and start working on them.

About the program

At DBVS NGO, our Self Help Group program goes beyond the ordinary by not just providing equipment donations but actively supporting women in running their businesses. A unique aspect of our program is the establishment of a supportive ecosystem that not only encourages entrepreneurship but also facilitates the selling of products through innovative channels.

Recognizing the need for a marketplace, we have set up a dynamic WhatsApp group where women can buy, sell, and showcase their products. Through individual customer WhatsApp groups, women collaborate by sharing and selling each other's products, fostering a supportive community.

Our team provides valuable supply chain support, enabling women to sell their products beyond their villages and generate a sustainable income. This expansion opens up new avenues for economic growth and financial independence.

We also help and encourage them to start saving for their future, take advantage of banking facilities, start their own businesses, or produce some goods and find employment locally.

Currently, we are also developing a platform where women entrepreneurs can sell their products online. Additionally, we set up a Common Facility Centre (CFC) where these women would be able to create packaging, price tags, seals and branding for their products before supplying them to the locals.

Join your hand with us for a better life and beautiful future.
