In our society, the significance of career planning often goes underestimated. Many students make career choices based on conventional options like Engineering, Medicine, Police, and Teaching, among others. Unfortunately, these decisions are frequently made without a clear understanding of personal interests and aspirations. A recent study revealed that 1 in 3 students is dissatisfied with their chosen course, while nearly 4 out of 5 working professionals express dissatisfaction with their jobs, leading to unhappy employees and diminished productivity.
At DBVS NGO, we recognize the urgent need for comprehensive career awareness and guidance. Our research indicates that a lack of awareness about various career options, including minimum qualifications, relevant institutes, and growth opportunities, is a primary concern. This dearth of information not only hampers students' career choices but also contributes to the rising levels of unemployability among educated youth, negatively impacting the productivity of our nation.
Our findings reveal that a significant number of students lack clarity about their future paths and have limited knowledge of available career options. Most students are confined to a handful of professions, such as Teaching, Defense, Railway, Doctor, Engineer, or Police, without knowing the intricate steps needed to pursue these careers.
At DBVS NGO, we understand the critical importance of informed career choices in shaping a successful future. To address the lack of career awareness, we have developed unique Career Guidance Charts featuring the 100 most popular career options. These charts, rich with essential details, serve as valuable resources for students, educators, and parents
Each chart provides detailed insights into various career options, including recommended subjects after the 10th class, types of institutes, growth opportunities, and starting salaries.
These charts are strategically and permanently placed on school walls, ensuring easy access for all students. By having this information readily available, students can explore a diverse range of career paths and make informed decisions about their futures.
